From a Fated Meeting
to a Beauty Revolution
From a chance connection to creating the world's first customisable solid gel nail system — this is the Ambedo Beauty journey.
Emily and Neena first crossed paths in late 2020. With Emily's business acumen and Neena's beauty obsession, they immediately knew they wanted to build something together. Their complementary skills laid the foundation for everything that followed.
Throughout 2022, Emily and Neena dedicated themselves to developing their vision — researching, brainstorming, and building the foundation for Ambedo Beauty. This period was marked by deep product development and understanding what customers truly needed.
In January 2023, Ambedo Beauty launched with its website going live. Our very first customer was named Hope — a fitting name that felt like a sign. Her early support validated our vision and motivated us to keep going.
We invented our revolutionary DIY customisable nail system — a design patent for our unique palette that lets customers personalise their gels, swap colours, and replace capsules without mess or waste. Nothing like it had existed before.
Ambedo Beauty was featured in Style Magazine as part of their "Women Of Brisbane" special edition, highlighting our founders' journey and our innovative approach to the beauty industry.
Throughout 2024 we focused on building a community around our brand — connecting with customers who shared our passion. Seeing how much people loved our products kept pushing us to create more.
Ambedo Beauty won the national Prevention Magazine Award for "Best DIY Mani/Pedi" of 2025 — validating our commitment to creating high-quality, user-friendly nail products that genuinely work at home.
